Benelux Grand Café Menu Design

A menu redesign for Benelux Grand Café, created to bring more personality, place, and cohesion to the guest experience.

I wanted the menu to feel distinctly Benelux while still being functional and easy to navigate in a busy restaurant environment. I used typography to call attention to some of the restaurant’s specialties, like Moules Frites, creating moments of emphasis throughout the menu without overwhelming the overall hierarchy.

I also incorporated custom illustrations inspired by the streetlamps found throughout Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, tying the menu back to the neighborhood that Benelux calls home. The result is a menu system that balances thoughtful typography, illustration, and practicality while giving the brand a stronger sense of place.
